congratulations you've sent your first marketing email want to know how it's doing of course you do hey i'm emily and i'm going to take you on a tour of godaddy's email marketing campaigns page and walk you through which statistics you can use to analyze your email's performance [Music] to get to your campaigns page from the websites plus marketing dashboard click marketing and select email the most recent campaigns you've created appear in the center of the campaigns page older ones will display under the compose button in the sidebar when you select the checkbox next to a campaign here it'll open up in the center of the page each campaign displayed in the middle of the page has a campaign toolbar the edit button enables you to open and edit the email clicking clone makes an exact copy of the email on the campaigns page the application will add an incremented number to the campaign title so you know which one's the clone and which one's the original to see a list of social media platforms where you can share your email click the share button if you've set up the social sharing buttons in the email you can click any of these to directly share the newsletter on a social network the schedule button enables you to select a future date on which you'd like to send the email this is helpful if you're planning a drip campaign or sending several related emails over a period of time when you're ready to deliver your email to your subscribers click send campaign statistics appear in the summary section for each email to view the overall or combined stats for all mailings of a campaign click more stats this is the statistics page there's a ton of information here to help evaluate not only how your email performed but help you pinpoint what aspects of your email worked and what didn't let's run through each of them at the top of the page you have a generic high-level overview of your email's results sent is the number of contacts that were sent to the email accepted is the number of contacts that successfully received your email and bounced is the number of contacts who did not receive your mailing down the left side of the screen you'll see more specific statistics for example viewed is the number of contacts that opened your email remember for a viewed account all the images in your email must download recipients who clicked a link or shared your email using forward to a friend or a social share button are counted as engaged forwarded is the number of recipients that well forwarded your email to a friend your growth number measures the total new subscribers and unsubscribes that resulted from your mailing up next is the stat you never want to see a number in marked as spam this is the number of recipients that reported your email as spam in their inbox click performance visually maps the strength of each url you included in your email godaddy email marketing distributes the total number of clicks for a specific mailing over all active links in the email each url shows the total percentage of all clicks it received along with unique and total click counts if there are multiple emails sent as part of a larger campaign the statistics for the larger campaign will display here [Music] in the upper right of the statistics screen there are a few more tools for this page to view your statistics by percentage you can click the percent icon clicking the share icon opens a dialog box with a unique url for your statistics page anyone you share this link with will be able to view this mailing stats but will not have access to anything else reviewing and analyzing your email statistics is the best way to understand what's working and what's not i'm emily see you next time you
